Of 256 crewed yachts available for charters in the US Virgin Islands (USVI), 76% are catamarans, and the median all-inclusive week is $32,000.

Which companies run bareboat and skippered charters in the USVI?
3 companies on this page run bareboat and skippered charters from the USVI, all on St. Thomas: Waypoints Yacht Charters at Frenchtown Marina, on the west side near the airport, Premier Dream Charters at Compass Point Marina and Island Yacht Charters in Red Hook, both on the East End. All three also sell crewed weeks. Most bareboat fleets in the Virgin Islands sail from Tortola instead: the BVI yacht charter companies list names 17 bareboat operators there.

3 companies on this page are listed as crewed operators, and each sells charters on the boats it runs. Charter Smarter, in Red Hook, sells crewed charters on more than 50 yachts. Its parent company, Paradise Yacht Management, manages over 60 sailing catamarans and runs Paradise Yacht Clearing, its in-house clearing house and the largest managing company in the table further down. Stella Blue Charters is an owner-operated 50 ft sailing catamaran for up to four guests, departing Red Hook or Cruz Bay. Dulce Vita Sails runs one 45 ft Leopard catamaran from St. John, for overnight charters and day sails. The wider crewed fleet is sold through the brokers in the next table.

Which brokers sell USVI yacht charters?
33 brokers sell USVI yacht charters, Vital Charters among them. None shows a current office in the USVI itself. Three are based in the BVI, two of them in Road Town, and one in Puerto Rico; most of the rest have offices in Florida, elsewhere in the US, the United Kingdom or Europe. A broker's fee comes out of the yacht's rate, not on top of it, so the week costs what the yacht publishes.
Corrections and exclusions
- BVI Sail, Sail Connections and Yacht Warriors show no office on the pages that would open, so their Office cell is blank (October 19, 2026).
- Denison Yachting's site carries a 2015 notice of a St. Thomas office. Nothing on it shows that office is still open, so its Fort Lauderdale headquarters is listed.

Where should you start with this list?
Start by deciding who sails the boat, because that rules out most of this page. A crewed yacht comes with its captain and usually a chef; a bareboat company hands the yacht to a qualified skipper in your group, and this page lists only three of those in the USVI.
For a crewed week, judge the crew rather than the company: brokers share one crewed fleet, so the same yachts turn up on more than one shortlist. Nearly every crewed yacht here also cruises the British Virgin Islands, so a week from St. Thomas can cross into the BVI if everyone brings a passport. Book direct or through a broker?

Where are USVI yacht charter companies based?
Mostly on St. Thomas. All three bareboat operators on this page are there: Waypoints Yacht Charters at Frenchtown Marina, Premier Dream Charters at Compass Point Marina and Island Yacht Charters in Red Hook. So is the crewed operator Charter Smarter, also in Red Hook. St. John's day-boat operators work mainly from Cruz Bay, and St. Croix's from Christiansted. None of the 33 brokers on this page shows a current office in the USVI.
Can a USVI yacht charter visit the British Virgin Islands?
Usually, yes. 250 of the 256 crewed yachts available for USVI charters also list the BVI, most of them as one Virgin Islands cruising area, as of October 19, 2026. The BVI is outside the US, so every guest needs a passport for that part of the week, and the crew handles the clearance. US citizens who stay in US waters can travel on a REAL ID-compliant license.
