What We Do

Crewed Yacht Charter Brokerage, Plainly Stated

Vital Charters is an independent crewed yacht charter brokerage based in Belle Isle, Florida. We arrange fully crewed, all-inclusive private yacht vacations across the Caribbean and the Bahamas, on sailing catamarans, power catamarans, motor yachts and motor sailers.

A crewed charter means the yacht comes with its own professional crew: typically a captain and chef, and on larger vessels additional stewardesses and deckhands. Rates are quoted per week and generally include the yacht, the crew, fuel for normal cruising, water toys and, on all-inclusive Caribbean terms, all meals and beverages aboard. We represent the guest, not the yacht. We search live availability across the fleet, shortlist vessels against a group’s itinerary, guest count, budget and preferences, and manage the booking through to departure.

Our brokerage service costs you nothing additional. The charter fee is set by the yacht and is the same whether you book direct or through a broker; brokers are paid a commission by the yacht owner out of that fee.

How We Got Here

Built by People Who Live the Charter Experience

We’re charterers. It’s how we vacation. It’s how we celebrate milestones. It’s how we reconnect with the people who matter most to us. Long before Vital Charters existed, we were researching yachts, packing snorkel gear, negotiating preference sheets, and learning (sometimes the hard way) what makes the difference between a good charter and an unforgettable one.

We’ve chartered at most price points and on a variety of yacht types, so we know what to expect at each level, where the real value is, and where to set expectations. That kind of perspective doesn’t come from a brochure. It comes from being the one standing on the swim platform.

More Than Brokers

A Team That Has Lived the Charter Lifestyle

Our team brings a unique mix of real-world experience to the table. Among us, you’ll find an ASA 104-certified sailor who understands wind, tide, and the difference a good anchorage makes. An avid scuba diver who’s explored reefs across the Caribbean and knows which dive sites are worth rearranging an itinerary for. And someone who’s worked in the cruise industry, who’s seen large-scale hospitality from the inside and knows exactly why a private yacht charter is in a class of its own.

What we all share is real time on the water, a passion for exploration, and a background in serving others. That combination shapes every recommendation we make. We don’t just book charters. We’ve lived them.

Why Charter

Why We Believe Yacht Charters Are the Ultimate Luxury Escape

We believe yacht charter is the single best value in experiential luxury travel. Nothing else puts a small group of people in a private, fully crewed, five-star environment that moves through some of the most beautiful places on earth, all on your own schedule.

It’s the perfect balance of adventure and luxury. You wake up anchored in a quiet cove, spend the afternoon exploring a new island, and end the day with a meal prepared just for you by a private chef, all with the people you care about most. No crowds. No rigid itineraries. No fighting for a lounge chair.

There is simply no better way for a group of people to connect and no more beautiful backdrop in which to do it.

50 Years of Serving Others

Service Is at the Heart of Everything We Do

Before entering the charter world, our team collectively spent over 50 years in service-oriented careers. That background shapes everything about how we work. We listen before we recommend. We communicate proactively. We anticipate what you’ll need before you know to ask for it.

In a luxury travel market where truly personal service has become harder and harder to find, even for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth travelers, we’re committed to being the exception. Our goal is to make yacht charter accessible and effortless, handling every detail so you can focus entirely on the experience.

We’re not trying to be the biggest brokerage. We’re trying to be the one you actually want to work with.

How We Work

Evidence Before Anecdote

Most charter advice is anecdote, one broker’s impression of one season. We came out of medicine, where a recommendation is only as good as the evidence behind it, and we brought that standard with us.

Vital Charters works from live industry booking data covering the crewed charter market: rates, availability, vessel specifications and booking windows across the fleets we broker, together with the charters we place ourselves. We analyse it, and we publish what we find, including when it contradicts what the industry says and when it is inconvenient for us.

Every figure we publish carries its method: the sample size, the period covered, where the data came from, what we excluded, and what the analysis cannot tell you. That is ordinary practice in clinical research and almost unheard of in travel. We think it is the only honest way to put a number in front of someone deciding how to spend a significant amount of money.

The analysis we have published so far, and the method behind every figure in it, is collected on one page: our charter market research.

As our own charter experience continues to grow, so will our reach. We have plans to expand into other popular charter destinations, but we’ll only guide you to places we know firsthand. That’s a promise.
