How long is the yacht charter season?

The yacht charter season runs year-round globally, with Caribbean and Mediterranean fleets running opposite calendars. The Caribbean season runs roughly mid-December through April, peaking at Christmas, New Year’s, and February. Hurricane risk closes the formal Caribbean window from June through October, though shoulder weeks in November and May still book actively. The Mediterranean season runs May through October, peaking July and August. Many luxury yachts split the year — Caribbean in winter, transatlantic crossing in April/May, Mediterranean in summer, return crossing in October/November. Asia and the South Pacific run a longer year-round window with a milder cyclone season. Crewed-yacht owners typically only allow charter bookings during their region’s active season. Best time to charter in the Caribbean details the monthly calendar.
