Can you charter a yacht for just one day?

Yes, you can charter a yacht for just one day, but from local day-boat operators, not the crewed charter fleet, which books by the week with five- to seven-night minimums. Half-day, full-day, and sunset trips in St Lucia, St Barts, or Nassau are arranged through marina operators and resort concierges, from a few hundred dollars per person on a shared sail to several thousand for a private boat. A crewed term charter is a different product. One group keeps the yacht, captain, and chef for the week. Caribbean catamarans start around $15,000 all-inclusive, and owners rarely split that week into day trips. Some accept five or six nights in low season; holiday weeks often require seven or more. The booking process for a term charter starts months out, while a day boat can often be booked the same week.
