What is a sailing resume for a bareboat charter?

A sailing resume for a bareboat charter is a short summary of your on-the-water experience that the charter company reviews before releasing a yacht without a professional captain. No license is required in the BVI or most of the Caribbean. The resume is the qualification. List your years sailing, the boats you have handled with length and type, the waters you sailed, plus any racing, deliveries or certifications such as ASA 104 or RYA Day Skipper. Certificates strengthen a thin resume; they are not mandatory beside a strong one. Companies can still assign a checkout skipper for the first afternoon. Charterers who would rather skip the paperwork entirely can book a crewed yacht, where the captain and chef come with the boat.
