How many days is the average yacht charter?

The average yacht charter runs seven days, embarkation to disembarkation. Saturday-to-Saturday is the industry-default week, and most yacht owners only allow seven-day-plus bookings during high season. Short charters (three to five nights) account for a smaller share β€” usually shoulder-season weeks, last-minute repositioning legs, or honeymoon add-ons. Two-week back-to-back charters happen but are rarer; they require coordinating provisioning between weeks and often a mid-charter port call. The hard floor is typically five nights for crewed yachts; under that, the per-day rate climbs steeply because turnaround costs don’t shrink with charter length. Charter duration gets locked in the contract before deposit.
