What is the minimum length for a crewed yacht charter?

The minimum length for a crewed yacht charter is usually 5 nights, though many yachts will accept 3- or 4-night bookings outside peak season. The standard product is 7 nights. Shorter trips are priced pro-rata with a premium: the common formula divides the weekly rate by six, not seven, so a 4-night charter costs about two-thirds of the weekly price rather than four-sevenths. Why the premium? Turnaround days cost the yacht real money: provisioning, cleaning, laundry, crew reset. During Christmas and New Year’s weeks most owners enforce a strict 7-night minimum with fixed start days, and no amount of negotiating moves it. Groups short on time should start the booking conversation with dates and nights up front, since minimums vary yacht by yacht.
