Description

Luxury sailing catamaran VISION is as comfortable as she is seaworthy. This Lagoon 57 is an ideal build for first time charter guests featuring unmatched stability and excellent speed under sail. The yacht has a spacious cockpit, sized for the entire charter party to be together. For sun and fun, huge trampolines on the bow let everyone enjoy an exciting ride over the water. For guests who want to hoist the sails and take a turn at the helm, the Captain is a patient instructor and VISION handles exceedingly well. Step aboard VISION and be impressed with the great views, open social spaces, nautical blue and white furnishings, luxury linens and guest amenities. The cockpit is a favorite spot for al fresco dining, or cocktails and conversation in protective shade. Whether dining, drinking or chatting, the interior saloon with plush banquette seating offers deluxe comfort in an air-conditioned space. VISION features spacious accommodations for six guests in three cabins. Two queen-bed cabins with under-bed storage and one forward cabin with twin bunk beds, the favorite of children but sized and outfitted for adult comfort. All cabins are en suite with electric toilet and separate shower. Cabins are equipped with air conditioning, fans and portholes for fully customizable temperature. Each cabin is equipped with a USB charger for phones and iPads. VISION is designed for water sports fun. Aft on both hulls steps lead directly into the sea, which makes getting on and off the yacht a breeze. There is also a boarding ladder to starboard. VISION also carries snorkel gear, clear bottom kayaks, tube and stand-up paddle boards. Sailing catamaran VISION has an ideal layout, is meticulously maintained and carries an excellent array of toys. VISION prefers and excels at "family style charters". CAPTAIN/CHEF CHARLY ZAHR
Charly grew up just outside of glamorous, vibrant, Buenos Aires, Argentina. His culture of music, playing the guitar, great food, fine wine, and entertaining friends, is part of what makes his charter style so special.

In his early 20s, Charly completed his studies in Industrial Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires. He left the dazzle of the capital and a successful career as a musician/singer with his band, β€œCharly Zahr & Co.” He moved to Rio de la Plata, where once he gripped a yacht helm he did not want to let go. He said, β€œA good friend introduced me to this passion for yachting. It was as if I’d been born for this life, a dream come true! I came to the Virgin Islands on my own sailing yacht with the best partner, Carolina.” That was some 30 years ago. They have been sailing together ever since in all the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Los Roques. And some sailing in the Adriatic, the Mediterranean, Ionic Sea, Aeolian Islands, Tyrrhenian Sea, the Balearic Islands and all the Canary Islands.

Not only are Charly and Carolina both licensed Captains but they are also both chefs. Charly is the main chef, supported by Caro as the pastry and dessert chef, and guests delight in her cakes and sweet treats. Charly loves to BBQ on the rear deck and he also excels at preparing Argentinian dishes from recipes handed down through generations, like homemade Chimichurri. He also has a repertoire of European dishes to tempt your palate.

Captain Charly is an expert seaman and extremely knowledgeable about sailing throughout the Caribbean. He says it’s his favorite yachting destination. β€œPeaceful, crystal clear waters, steady breezes all year round, perfect temperatures, and amazing fresh vegetables and fish! And the most wonderful, local people to spend time with. Charter guests aboard VISION experience all this and more. Because, although Charly commands the ship, he also has many stories to tell and songs to sing. All you need do is ask him.

Charly creciΓ³ a las afueras de la glamorosa y vibrante Buenos Aires, Argentina. Su cultura de la mΓΊsica, tocar la guitarra, buena comida, buen vino y entretener a sus amigos, son parte de lo que hace que su estilo de charter sea tan especial.

En sus 20 aΓ±os, Charly completΓ³ sus estudios en IngenierΓ­a Industrial en la Universidad de Buenos Aires. DejΓ³ el deslumbramiento de la capital y una exitosa carrera como mΓΊsico / cantante con su banda, “Charly Zahr & Co.” Se trasladΓ³ a RΓ­o de la Plata, donde una vez que se apoderΓ³ de un timΓ³n de yate no querΓ­a dejarlo ir. Γ‰l dijo: “Un buen amigo me presentΓ³ a esta pasiΓ³n por la navegaciΓ³n. Fue como si hubiera nacido para esta vida, Β‘un sueΓ±o hecho realidad! LleguΓ© a las Islas VΓ­rgenes en un yate de alquiler. Justo despuΓ©s de llegar, me encontrΓ© Carolina. HabΓ­a encontrado a mi pareja perfecta. “Eso fue hace unos 30 aΓ±os. Han estado navegando juntos desde entonces por todo el Caribe, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Los Roques y tambien por el Mediterraneo, el Mar Jonico, el Tirreno, Las Baleares y todas las Islas Canarias.

Charly y Carolina no solo son capitanes con licencia, sino que tambiΓ©n son chefs. Charly es el chef principal, apoyado por Caro como chef de reposterΓ­a y postres, y los invitados se deleitan con sus pasteles y dulces. A Charly le encanta hacer barbacoas en la cubierta trasera y tambiΓ©n se destaca en la preparaciΓ³n de platos argentinos a partir de recetas transmitidas de generaciΓ³n en generaciΓ³n, como el chimichurri casero. TambiΓ©n tiene un repertorio de platos europeos para tentar tu paladar.

El capitΓ‘n Charly es un marinero experto y conoce mucho sobre la navegaciΓ³n por el Caribe. Γ‰l dice que es su destino de yate favorito. “Aguas tranquilas y cristalinas, brisas constantes durante todo el aΓ±o, temperaturas perfectas e increΓ­bles verduras frescas y pescado! PASTRY CHEF / MATE /STEWARDESS CAROLINA RODRIGUEZ SOAJE
Caro and two younger siblings grew up in the beautiful bustle of Buenos Aires. During the summer, the family traded city life for country life on their ranch. Caro rode horses through a pastoral landscape, enjoying the animals and the beauty of nature. She was always surrounded by many friends, so it was little surprise when she pursued a degree in Public Relations at Universidad Argentina John F. Kennedy. However, when she fell in love, her plans changed.

Caro met Charly, and together they launched a career in yachting. The two became licensed captains in Argentina and sailed the world’s oceans. Caro continued taking courses to further her career as a yacht chef, including pastries and bread and sommelier. She had an exciting position as chef/hostess on a Farr 80’, exploring most of the European and Turkish coasts. She also worked on yachts as a pastry chef and first mate. Since 1999, she has owned a 62′ classic yacht, and a Lagoon 57, operating long-term and day charters throughout the Caribbean, but mostly based in the BVI where she holds a Belonger Status

Her pastries, breads, and desserts are irresistible. She says, β€œGuests rave most about my 70% cocoa chocolate mousse, and my dulce de leche mousse, with ingredients we bring from Argentina!” Guests aboard VISION not only eat well but are also pampered. Caro is trained in Silver Service and knows how to be discreet for those guests who value privacy. However, she prefers an interactive charter. She says, β€œI try to show the beauty of this lifestyle to our guests and make their stay a truly amazing life experience!” Step aboard to encounter an unforgettable VISION!

Caro y dos hermanos menores crecieron en el hermoso bullicio de Buenos Aires. Durante el verano, la familia cambiΓ³ la vida de la ciudad por la vida en el campo en su rancho. Caro montΓ³ caballos a travΓ©s de un paisaje pastoral, disfrutando de los animales y la belleza de la naturaleza. Ella siempre estuvo rodeada de muchos amigos, asΓ­ que no fue una sorpresa cuando obtuvo un tΓ­tulo en Relaciones PΓΊblicas en la Universidad Argentina John F. Kennedy. Sin embargo, cuando ella se enamorΓ³, los planes cambiaron.

Caro conociΓ³ a Charly, y juntos lanzaron una carrera en yates. Los dos se convirtieron en capitanes con licencia en Argentina y navegaron los ocΓ©anos del mundo. Caro continuΓ³ tomando cursos para continuar su carrera como chef de yates, incluyendo pasteles, panes y sumiller. Ella tenΓ­a una posiciΓ³n emocionante como chef / anfitriona en un Farr 80 ‘, explorando la mayorΓ­a de las costas europeas y turcas. Ella tambiΓ©n trabajΓ³ en yates como pastelero y primer oficial. Charly and Carolina have a son Valentin, born October 14, 2008, who is a great sailor and deckhand, also playing instruments such as piano and saxophone. He will not be on board for charters unless it is a family charter and the guests invite him to join the charter, OR if the charter coincides with school vacations, such as Easter, Christmas, and New Year. Valentin can serve as the 3rd crew member, at the client’s discretion. He’s great with families and kids and helps out with snorkeling, sailing, and other chores around the boat.

Charly and crew regularly attend the annual Yacht Shows in the Caribbean and have won several awards!
