Eben grew up in South Africa in a big city but most vacations were spent in the wild bushveld. His working career started as a project manager and later on to logistics. Eben started sailing later in life and as soon as he set foot on his first boat he was hooked. He went on to become a captain and managed a sailing academy.

Katie was born in a small English village in the UK, her love for water and the ocean comes from the South coast of England. Her love for the ocean is matched by her love for horses as an equestrian dressage ride and her passion for cuisines from around the world. She enjoyed cooking from a young age with her mom who was a qualified chef. After completing her equine studies she worked in equine yards where she competed at a national level. She lated worked at a culinary school where she further developed her skills that are incorporated in her beautiful cuisines.

Eben and Katie met on the north coast of Sicily in Milazzo in 2022 and it was love at first sight. Katie as an equestrian rider and Eben as a Captain both had a love of the water. After traveling together around Europe Eben convinced Katie to join him in the amazing world of sailing.

Eben has been chartering around the Mediterranean and the Caribbean for the last 9 years and Katie joined him in the British Virgin Islands in 2023. As soon as you step on board you will feel at home and you can sit back relax and soak in the Caribbean sun. Whatever your needs are, whether it is diving amazing reefs, building sand castles on the beach or enjoying cocktails at the beach bars, Eben and Katie will have you forgetting about the world outside the islands.

Having grown up in the South West of England, Phoebe grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a natural connection to the sea. Surrounded by rugged coastlines and rolling countryside, she spent much of her childhood exploring beaches, swimming in the ocean, and enjoying long coastal walks with her dog.

Phoebe is known for her warm hospitality, attention to detail, and creative flair behind the bar. Whether it’s crafting classic cocktails or mixing up custom creations to match the mood, she loves turning a simple drink into a memorable experience.

Dear Eben, Katie and Phoebe,

Thank you so much for making our family vacation dreams come true. This week has been truly magical We have felt so lucky that our family has been able to join yours and share our special memories with you all. You all have been so kind, thoughtful and FUN! It will be impossible to pick a favourite moment because all of our adventures were so magical. We loved swimming and playing on and off the boat. We had so many fun times on the sun chill and trampolines, the paddle board, and – a new fav – the e-foil. We loved spending time on the sandy beaches, swimming and snorkeling finding shells, and enjoying our ‘usual’ cocktail. We truly felt the love with each delicious meal. Compliments to the chef! We will always remember how kind and amazing you have been with the kids. Thank you for playing with them, chatting with them…and listening…and listening some more. Thank you for taking them on the e-foil, making them kid cocktails, creating a special movie night (or 2), and showing them all the magic of the BVI. It will be hard to rejoin the cold world of New England where shoes are required. We all wish we could stay with your family longer. Our home in Maine or Massachusetts is forever open to you all. We hope we can one day share the wonder of playing in the snow, tubing and skiing, exploring the frozen lake and eating icicles. We’re not sure it compares to swimming with turtles, but we would be honoured to try to return the favour. Thank you so very much for a truly once in a lifetime (but hopefully not actually) experience.

Thank you so very much for our incredible week on Seahome 2! From the moment we stepped on board, you made us feel so welcome and truly rolled out the red carpet. From our first day at Anegada to our last night at Virgin Gorda and all the moments in-between – games, amazing meals, cocktails, snorkelling, hiking, e-foiling, scuba diving, hidden coves and rocky cruises – it was all so much fun! To our dear Seahome 2 squad,

Sometimes in this world, at the right place, at the right time, two perfect spontaneous crew’s come together at once. I can say with no hesitation that this is one of those special unions. From the very start we felt safe and secure with the absolute professionalism of the team. Every second of this trip felt warm and genuine. To get to know that we might even have a slight chance to be able to get to do this again makes me feel like the luckiest guy in the world. Every single one of the drinks were unbelievably perfect and felt like they were made with heart, soul, and perfect execution. And that can also be said about each and every one of the meals. The charm, the taste, and the texture of every bite of food on the trip has been on another level. Living in the Capital of Texas, the last thing we ever expected was to have our minds blown with food. And to the Captain, your ability to roll with our sense of humour and our wild jokes made us feel at home. We can’t believe how perfect this trip was. Safe and happy. One of the highlights of my life. Thank you! Can’t wait to host y’all in Texas.

Where do I begin. This experience would not have been anything without ya’lls incredible hospitality and attention to detail. From the very begging I knew almost immediately that this trip would not happen every again unless you guys are part of it. In a world of hospitality and care for clients in Austin that I have done everyday for 15 years you guys opened my eyes to how to do it at the next level. I can speak for everyone when I say we genuinely want y’all come to visit us so we can take care of y’all for a change. I’ve gained 3 new friends in all of this and I really want you to take me serious in the invitation to Austin. I adore all 3 of you and have never laughed harder and felt more at home.

Thank you all for an outstanding experience! I’m immensely grateful for the incredible hospitality you all provided from the moment we met. Each of you have made this trip absolutely unforgettable in your own ways. Although the food was absolutely delicious, I have already booked a few extra pilates classes upon my return. I’m grateful for your pro tips for finding sunny spots, as well as you suncream reminders. You’ll be glad to know my mission for the trip has been successful, and I’ll be returning tanned, not burned. Sunny things aside, thank you for sharing your cheery humour with us all, and keeping us all organised and on track – not the easiest task for this crew! Great trip, everyone enjoyed the trip. Yacht was excellent, well cared for, new equipment, nothing broken, food was excellent every day, great menu, and selection and well stocked. Crew was 10/10. Nine days at sea with a crew this elite, foiling, fasting, zero sleep. Inside jokes that spiraled fully unhinged, somehow still classy, but mostly…fringe.
Eben at the helm, intense, and dry “good afternoon” when I slept past sunrise. You taught us to dive, to foil, to fly.
Phoebe swims out like a Bond scene, anchoring us down while looking chill and serene. Cocktails flawless, brows never astray, left chocolate each night (I ate them… everyday).
