I wanted to pass along some feedback from my client following their recent charter aboard M/Y Margate. Overall, they rated the entire experience an A+.

Some highlights:

• The yacht was in excellent condition—very clean, everything was fully operational, and they experienced no issues at all.

• Captain Shane received exceptional feedback. The client described him as friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, and, most importantly, someone who made them feel completely safe throughout the charter.

• Chef Mandy was outstanding. Every meal was excellent, and they genuinely couldn’t fault the food. Their only joke was that next time they need to wear elastic waistband pants because there was simply too much incredible food!

• Stephanie was warm, attentive, and always available whenever they needed anything.

• Erin also received great praise. He did an excellent job introducing them to the water toys, tender, and jet skis, always ensuring everything was done safely. The client said it felt like staying at a luxury hotel—whenever they needed something, someone was always there to help.

• They also appreciated that the crew struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving them plenty of privacy to enjoy their vacation.

They had fantastic weather throughout the trip and made great use of the jet skis. One of their favourite days was spending Saturday on a beautiful private beach.

The crew also went above and beyond by decorating the yacht for the birthday celebration and presenting a beautiful cake and champagne, which made the occasion extra special.

Regarding the itinerary, this was their first time in the Exumas. They found it worked out perfectly, as they realised they preferred spending more time enjoying each destination rather than cruising long distances every day.

The only feedback they had for a future charter was that they would book an extra day or two. Since they departed the marina around noon on Thursday, the initial run to the Exumas took approximately 6–7 hours, meaning a portion of the trip was spent underway. With a slightly longer charter, they felt they would have had even more time to enjoy the destinations. I pushed them to charter for longer but unfortunately could not do it this time.

Overall, it was an outstanding charter, and the client couldn’t speak more highly of the yacht and the crew. Thank you and the crew for all the hard work.

Bahamas – The Exhuma Islands Edition: we met the Margate & the incredible crew huddled under golf umbrellas in the pouring rain. 30 mins later and for the remaining days on board she gently rocked on the crystal-clear turquoise waters with the warm sun kissing our skin, the air carrying the scent of salt and adventures along with the kind of tranquility that could only be found far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The days faded effortlessly into evenings, the horizon set ablaze with sunsets that no camera nor filter could truly capture – vibrant hues of orange & pink while we stared in awe, feeling both small and infinite in the face of nature’s brilliance. 

We enjoyed exploring the waters on jet skis, swam with nurse sharks, visited the famous swimming pigs, fed the resident iguanas, fished and went snorkeling around Pablo Escobar’s sunken plane with the local aquatic life. There was an (over!) abundance of food, laughter & togetherness – the kind of scene you want to hold onto forever and carry with you long after the trip has ended – grateful and blessed…

This was the 3rd time my broker has helped us charter a yacht. Every time has been exceptional. On this charter I was surprising my wife for her 60th birthday and I wanted to keep it a secret. The entire crew of “Margate” went above and beyond to make this the best birthday my wife has ever had. They made sure every detail was taken care of just the way we wanted. Even having the crew on the pier the day we boarded with a birthday cake and singing Happy Birthday. The Yacht “Margate” was incredible. It had everything you could think of and more. Jet ski’s, slides, hot tub, fishing equipment, underwater scooters. And the yacht was spotless! The crew was also top notch! Mandy the chef prepared some of the best food we have ever had! Ollie was fantastic and attended to our every need. Aaron, the first mate, was always helpful and Captain Shane was fantastic and took us to some beautiful places throughout the Exumas. Plus, he kept us safe through some bad weather that popped up. I would definitely charter this yacht again and without a doubt, will be using my broker for any future charters we do. Thank you to my broker and the entire crew of “Margate” for making this a trip we will cherish forever!!

Duran is a great captain and planned a perfect itinerary for our family. Shane kept the cruise going smoothly and made an amazing video. We loved every dish Mandy made. She is a master chef who expertly accommodated some picky eaters. Didi always has a smile on her face and made us feel at home. We were always surprised and delighted by her table decorations.

Yes, we really enjoyed the experience. It was sad that we had to spend two nights at Atlantis due to bad weather, since the Exumas is such a beautiful place and we were having a great time with the crew. My friend ***** had so much fun and loved the experience so much that he is already looking forward to the next charter. 

Like you mentioned before, a crew with experience makes a very big difference. I have been very lucky to have amazing crews on both charters and would be very difficult to say which one was the best. The crew on Margate was very friendly and at the end we were like family. Mandy and Ollie were simply amazing in every aspect.

Here are the answers to your questions and You can call me if you need more information.

1- Yes, the yacht was very comfortable, and everybody loved it. It is the perfect size for one or two families. The amenities and toys were great.
2- Yes, the yacht is in very good condition, and everything worked well. The interior was in excellent shape and felt like home. 
3- The crew was amazing, and they provided a level of service beyond what I expected. Like I said, Mandy and Ollie were simply amazing. 
4- Chef Mandy was far beyond what we expected. She is just an amazing human being. She was always trying to please and accommodate each one of us, her blueberry muffins were the hit of the charter and her creations were healthy and delicious. Ollie was also amazing, and her decorations were so much fun. I really do not know how she did so much in a day.
5- The itinerary that we had planned was great but due to the weather we had to make lots of changes which was very disappointing.
6- No, the yacht and the crew were perfect.
7- Food was both excellent and healthy.
8- Yes, I will charter Margate again and is probably our yacht of choice for our next year’s charters. Both ***** and I have already recommended Margate to several friends.
