Truly One For The Books

We had an absolutely unforgettable week chartering in the BVI on Aquanimity, and so much of that was thanks to Captain Giacomo and Chef Nicole.

Jack planned the perfect island-hopping itinerary—every day felt like a new adventure. From swimming with sea turtles to exploring caves, snorkeling beautiful reefs, paddle boarding, to exploring The Baths by ourselves and even dinghy surfing, he made sure there was something exciting for everyone. What really stood out was how he found stunning, quiet anchorages each night, away from the crowds—each spot somehow more beautiful than the last. He also took the time to teach our family about sailing, and showed our younger son how to fish and snorkel.

Nicole kept us incredibly well fed all week with truly outstanding meals. From homemade lasagna to an incredible sushi night (complete with fresh rolls made right on the boat), to homemade bread and cake—every meal felt special. I’m still dreaming about the French toast and lava cake! The variety, quality, and care she put into every dish were beyond anything we expected.

Beyond their skills, Jack and Nicky are simply wonderful people to spend time with. Traveling with two tween/teen boys isn’t always easy, but they were endlessly patient, kind, and fun. Jack spent hours pulling the boys on paddle boards with the dinghy, and the sound of their laughter and excitement is something I’ll never forget.

This trip was truly one for the books, and we are so grateful to Giacomo and Nicole for creating such a magical experience. We would sail with them again in a heartbeat.

Everything We Wished For!!

We recently had the pleasure of chartering Aquanimity with two of our dear friends—and it was our second time aboard, which says everything in itself.

Captain Giacomo “Jack” and Chef Nicole “Nicky” were the perfect team. Jack was consistently professional, gracious, and warm, always greeting us with a smile. His calm confidence and knowledge of the islands made us feel completely at ease.

Nicky was equally exceptional. Not only were her meals delicious, but she also generously shared recipes with us—her crème brûlée and homemade bread was truly unforgettable.

Our itinerary was nothing short of magical. We were picked up at Trellis Bay and explored some of the most beautiful spots in the British Virgin Islands, including Norman Island, The Baths, The Indians, and Brewers Bay. Sailing to Anegada was a highlight—open air, stunning scenery, and that feeling of complete freedom on the water.

Each day was filled with snorkeling, breathtaking sunsets, wonderful food, and meaningful conversation—all set against the backdrop of the most beautiful turquoise water.

This trip was everything we hoped for and more. We will absolutely be back.

Planning Our Next Trip Already!

We set sail on The Aquanimity for a 7 day trip! Party of 4! Giak & Nicole exceeded our expectations. Captain Giak, well versed in the BVI. He knew all the places to go. From a quite cove, amazing restaurants, cocktail mixer, party beach or just a wonderful day sitting on the boat “yacht watching”. Ask him to make you an espresso martini 😃

Nicky was a fantastic chef & always took care of us with any requests. Top notch!

The boat was clean with nice pillows, lots of fun water floats and many places to sit on the boat to just relax. This was our first trip to the BVI & are already planning our next trip!

All-Star Crew

This is a bucket list trip with an all star crew on Aquanimity.

I can not say enough about Cpt. Giack (Jack) and chef Nicole.
Words will absolutely not give this week long charter credit.
This experience exceeded my wife and I’s expectations, but totally blew our toughest critics minds, 2 teenage daughters.
From secluded beaches, insane day and night snorkeling, beach bars and parties, and finally meal after meal!
I hope these pics do this experience justice.
