What are the different kinds of yacht charter?

The four types of yacht charter are bareboat, skippered, fully crewed, and cabin charter. Bareboat means the guest charters the yacht alone and skippers it; requires sailing certification (RYA Day Skipper, ASA 104, or equivalent). Skippered adds a hired skipper for navigation and operation — guests still cook, clean, and provision. Fully crewed includes a captain, chef, and stewardess (sometimes more); guests do nothing but vacation. Cabin charter (rare) is per-cabin booking on a shared yacht, like a small cruise. The fully crewed model is the standard for luxury charters over 60 feet and is the only model in markets like the BVI under MYBA contracts.
