Where should you sit on a yacht if you get seasick?

The best seat on a yacht for seasickness is amidships, low, and outside β€” the middle of the boat, on or near the waterline, with the horizon in view. Motion amplifies at the bow and stern (the ends pitch most) and at the upper decks (the roll arc widens with height). On a catamaran, the salon and aft cockpit sit right in the steady center. On a monohull, midships near the companionway is best. Fresh air on the face beats air conditioning, and a hard horizon reference resets the inner ear faster than any wristband. Cabins low and central β€” never a forward V-berth β€” work for sleep. Bonine and scopolamine patches handle the chemistry; geography handles the rest. A broker will flag yachts with the steadiest layouts.
