What day of the week does a crewed yacht charter start?
Most crewed yacht charters start on Saturday, though Caribbean catamaran fleets are flexible on the start day. The Saturday-to-Saturday rotation is the legacy norm β it gives the crew Sunday morning to provision, deep-clean, and refuel between back-to-back charters. Mediterranean yachts and larger motor yachts still hold to Saturday strictly. Caribbean fleets running shorter charters or off-season weeks often start any day of the week. Booking off-rotation (a Wednesday-to-Wednesday week, for example) is possible but may incur a small repositioning fee if the yacht has to break its turnaround cycle. The charter contract locks the embarkation and disembarkation dates once signed. A charter inquiry can specify any preferred start day.
