This trip completely exceeded our expectations. Captain Kerry was superb. She took great care of us- above and beyond. I was a little nervous boater and she made sure I always felt safe. She was an excellent captain!
Bryny our chef and first mate was absolutely wonderful. The food was amazing! She always provided fresh fruit and snacks on top of every wonderful meal she created.
Both Kerry and Bryny were wonderful to travel with through the BVls. The little extras they did for us were so much fun, like snacks and drinks brought to us on the beach!

A week-long BVI catamaran trip with our group of 8 friends aboard the Bavarian Bliss. Captain Kerry and First Mate/Chef Bryny greeted us with big smiles, tasty snacks, a welcome cocktail, and an immaculate boat. The boat was pristinely clean, comfortable, and outfitted with plenty of water toys and amenities above and beyond what I expected.

It was lovely to hear the many stories the crew shared about their experiences in the BVIs and to learn about their backgrounds. It felt like we were sailing with friends. I especially enjoyed the recommendations about hikes we could do on the various islands, and well as the “insider info” on what shops were locally-owned, which shop owner had a rescued baby goat, and where to find the BEST cheeseburger.

The crew was skilled and at ease with handling the catamaran (we are a geeky group, and they answered the very many questions we threw at them about all things boat-related). When a snafu arose with the sail, they handled it with a calm expertise that was comforting and reassuring that we were in very capable hands.

Every meal and snack was crafted and executed to perfection and Captain Kerry’s cocktails were the perfect accompaniment. The food that Bryny prepared was mind-blowing. We love food and she far surpassed our expectations (even our non-food-loving friend was blown away). The sea bass that she prepared was hands-down the best I have ever eaten. It wasn’t restaurant food, it was home-cooked meals taken to a level that few people can achieve. We had dinner at Cocomaya (rumored to be one the one of the best restaurants in the BVIs) and even thought it was great, I would hands-down chose Bryny’s food.

Our recent trip was absolutely spectacular from start to finish. The boat itself was pristine, beautifully accented, and incredibly welcoming—we were greeted with signature drinks and charming animal towel displays that set the perfect tone for a comfortable and accommodating week.

The crew was truly wonderful. Their knowledge is second to none, and their ability to pivot through last-minute changes was seamless. What impressed us most was their absolute calm and professionalism; even when a minor “hiccup” with the sail arose, they handled it with such ease and confidence that we felt completely taken care of and safe.

The culinary experience, however, was the real showstopper. I’m generally not a “food person,” but Bryny is a genius who can out-cook any famous chef. Her attention to detail and dedication to our preferences were unmatched—I genuinely loved every single thing she prepared; it’s impossible to pick a favorite.

This wasn’t just a vacation; it was a masterclass in hospitality. If you want a crew that strives to ensure your every need is met while maintaining a fun, professional atmosphere, look no further than Captain Kerry and First Mate/Chef Bryny. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough!

We had the most lovely vacation aboard the Bavarian Bliss with Kerry and Bryny! Every detail was thought of and taken care of including off-boat activities and wonderful meals.

I highly recommend joining Kerry and Bryny on the Bavarian Bliss. I traveled with my family and thoroughly enjoyed the itinerary, delicious meals, and expert navigating. Kerry made us feel very safe and comfortable and knew all the local tips and tricks to enhance our experience. Bryny cooked delicious meals and ensured we never went hungry. Both were delightful company. We had a great family vacation that was truly unique and adventurous.

We spent the week the 3 couples on the Bavarian Bliss which was everyone’s first sailboat charter trip. Captain Kerry and First Mate Bryny were top notch. Amazing food and drinks. My personal favorite was Mediterranean lamb bowls and the Bavarian Split drink of the day. Captain did a great job sailing in some unusually rough weather and managed to find good places to moor. Highlights: The Baths is a must, snorkeled the Indians, floating in the water, a hike on little Jost, dancing the night away at Foxy’s and Soggy Dollar. A great experience with great crew. Highly recommend.

We just spent a week aboard the Bavarian Bliss with Captain Kerry and Chef Bryny–3 couples sailing the British Virgin Islands.

The weather was a little unusual for early February, but we made the best of it. Captain Kerry was a great communicator and gave us good options when we had to adjust our itinerary. She was an excellent skipper and always looked out for our safety and comfort.

Chef Bryny was fantastic–the meals were better than described and then some. We had guests with some unique dining preferences and Bryny was very accommodating to everyone. Each meal seemed to be better than the previous one, and she went above and beyond to meet the stated requests on our preference sheet. Between her and Captain Kerry, we always had a delicious snack surprise or one of the Bavarian Bliss specialty cocktails!

Weather permitting, the Bavarian Bliss crew were always willing to lead a snorkeling expedition, put out some floats, lead us on a hike, or contribute a few songs to our sailing playlist!

I highly recommend the Bavarian Bliss and the duo of Captain Kerry and Chef Bryny for any future sailing trips.

We spent 7 days on Bavarian Bliss with Captain Kerry and Chef/First Mate Bryny and had a good time. I give it four stars because we were only able to sail a couple of days (due to winds and seas), and spent most of the time motoring. In addition, we lost a day due to having to return to port to fix the air conditioning. Seems like the itinerary could have been modified to allow more sailing.

We were very laid back, and the crew were willing to do what we wanted. They kept us in drinks and lots of good food.

The trip to the Soggy Dollar on Jost Van Dyke was the highlight of the journey. Kudos to Captain Kerry for making sure we made it back to the boat by bringing us a paddle board and life jackets. Also thanks to the Rum Runner for coming by with great frozen Painkillers and Bushwhackers.

We just spent a fantastic week on the Bavarian Bliss. Kerry and Bryny made sure everything was perfect! They went out of their way to make our trip, a birthday celebration, and Thanksgiving great!

We’ve just returned from what we can only describe as the trip of a lifetime…seven days sailing the British Virgin Islands aboard Bavarian Bliss with Bertie and Michelle. From the moment we stepped onboard, it was clear this would be no ordinary charter. What we experienced was far beyond our expectations.

Bertie and Michelle made us feel like old friends rather than guests. Their hospitality was next level. They are professional, warm, clientele focused, and incredibly thoughtful. Every detail was taken care of, and every day felt effortless, relaxing, and filled with new adventures. It was the first time I haven’t been able to recall what day of the week it was while on vacation!

Bertie’s knowledge of the BVIs is unparalleled. The scenery was breathtaking. The turquoise waters and lush landscapes you only dream about.

Michelle’s meals were incredible. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We felt like we were dining in a floating five star restaurant. Don’t worry, you will NEVER go hungry!

And let’s not forget Bertie’s LEGENDARY Painkiller…hands down the best in the BVIs. We tried our fair share on this trip, the best Painkiller came from Bertie on Bavarian Bliss.

They helped us make reservations for tours and restaurants onshore and gave spot on recommendations every time. We had no worries and could simply enjoy the experience!

Bertie and Michelle have a gift: they don’t just run a charter; they craft unforgettable experiences, effortlessly blending professionalism, adventure, and friendship. The entire experience was magical from start to finish, and we’re already planning our next trip with them.

We just returned from our BVI sailing adventure on Bavarian Bliss and had an incredible time and made some amazing memories. Victoria with YVC selected a great boat for us and the crew Bertie and Michelle took great care of our family of six. Michelle cooked a 5 star quality meal every evening and the seafood in particular was excellent. Breakfasts and lunches were very tasty and we enjoyed a good variety of food. Bertie made the most of our time and planned a great itinerary that included many of the best BVI spots. We hit all 4 of the BVI islands and we especially enjoyed Anegada as we hadn’t seen that island previously. The crew set us up with the Conch Island Excursion via Kelly Tours and that was our favorite excursion of the trip. Our kids got to retrieve conch shells from the ocean and the excursion included hand made ceviche. The tour also included some of the best snorkeling we have ever done as we literally saw 1000’s of fish and stingrays by the barrier reef. The crew made sure we were never thirsty and had the boat well stocked with drinks – Bertie made a great painkiller! The crew made the trip but the boat was also fantastic – lots of great areas to sit and enjoy the view. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were all a comfortable temperature at night. Thank you YVC for an amazing experience!!

Our family had an unforgettable trip aboard the catamaran, Bavarian Bliss. The boat was perfect for four couples, offering plenty of space and comfortable lounging areas. Though we’ve visited the Virgin Islands many times, this was our first experience with a captain and chef on board. I can confidently say that Bertie and Michelle made the trip truly exceptional.

Thanks to their expertise, we were free to relax without the hassle of handling supplies, caring for the boat, or searching for mooring spots in busy areas. Michelle’s meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared to cater to our various preferences. She even went out of her way to track down Kombucha for us! After enjoying a “dirty banana” cocktail onshore, I showed her the recipe, and within minutes, she whipped up the same drink aboard the boat.

One of the highlights of the trip was fishing and catching a Spanish Mackerel, which Bertie and Michelle expertly grilled for our lunch. Bertie and Michelle were very accommodating and eager to help us enjoy all the adventures we wanted to experience. We also had a great time hanging out with them!

We’re already discussing a return trip, and the one non-negotiable condition is that Bertie and Michelle will be on board again. They truly elevated our journey, and we can’t wait for the next adventure!

At the end of the mid-March week on board Bavarian Bliss, a Bali 48, the family declared it was the best vacation ever, which is saying something since we have sailed the British Virgin Islands about a dozen times over the last three decades. What made it the best vacation ever was the crew: Bertie and Michelle. Let’s start with the food.

Before departing a “preferences” form was completed. We submitted a no holes barred response, with such items as Crème Brulé, key lime pie, lobster, and filet mignon. We did not expect such treats on a boat with six passengers, but in fact all of those referenced items – and much more – were delivered. Michelle worked tirelessly rising before the rest of us and working well into the evening. Every meal was a culinary delight. Indeed, the original plan was to go ashore for several meals, but we quickly concluded that the cuisine was better on board than ashore.

Bertie ran a tight ship, rising early and firing up the twin diesel Yanmars to assure we could secure a ball at Jost Van Dike, the Baths, and other popular destinations. He found a couple of secluded overnight locations and even one where no other boats were anchored. Since several of us are sailors, he relinquished control from time to time so we could handle the lines.

Bavarian Bliss was well suited to our family. The cabins were air conditioned thanks to a generator run during the sleeping hours, which leads to our one complaint. The forward port cabin is separated from that generator by a thin bulkhead so my favorite son and his bride had to deal with a bit more noise than I would have tolerated. Apple AirPods!

My expectation is a return trip will be arranged, provided Bertie and Michelle are available.

We just had an amazing trip in the BVI’s aboard the Barvarian Bliss. Our crew, Bertie and Michelle were amazing and made the trip top notch. The kids (ages 6-11) loved how Michelle made them special meals while the adults had separate “adult dinners”. Bertie took the kids tubing and kneeboarding, which they couldn’t get enough of. I’d highly recommend Bertie and Michelle with the Yacht Vacation company to all my friends! Thanks for making this such a memorable experience!

Comment: Bertie and Michelle were two of the nicest, most pleasant, helpful crew that we have had. The only recommendation that I would make would be to speed up the times that we were dining, it often was a little late. With more experience, this could be one of the top crews at TW.
