It’s my privilege to share a unique pampered Caribbean experience aboard Abundance, with splendid yacht accommodations, and an itinerary customized to your needs.

Captain Blaine is a licensed US Coast Guard captain, PADI Instructor and airplane pilot. He began sailing at age ten when he first learned about his love for sailing and exploring the sea. This was further inspired by a close relative that circumnavigated. Blaine has sailed extensively throughout the Caribbean and Mediterranean and has explored most of the Caribbean leeward and windward islands aboard Abundance. This is Blaine’s 7th season on Abundance as term charter Owner/Operator. He knows the best spots for diving, fishing, adventure, hiking, fun or solitude.

Prior to his life aboard Abundance, Blaine grew up on a farm and ranch in Montana. He has a background in Electrical/Software Engineering and spent over twenty years in the Cybersecurity industry. Blaine loves meeting new friends, swapping stories, hosting adventure trips and getting fresh catch for dinner.

Best Vacation Ever!!!

There aren’t enough superlatives to describe this trip! The setting is gorgeous, the views stunning and peaceful. The Abundance is comfortable, the weather just right. Blaine and Eda are incredible hosts—attentive and able to anticipate every want and desire. Eda’s every meal was incredibly fresh and just plain yummy, with exciting variety.
We are celebrating our daughters’ high school graduations and their start at Northeastern University, as well as their many years of friendship. It was an amazing way to spend time with good friends and amazing memories: snorkeling, collectible shells, coral, floating, lounging on the deck enjoying Blaine’s cocktails, and soaking in the rays and the views. What an amazing trip with Capt. Blaine and Eda aboard the Abundance! Each meal was carefully selected and prepared with the perfect amount of care and love. We island-hopped for a week, stopping to explore the beautiful clear waters of the sea and many dive spots along the way. Our evenings usually consisted of fun-filled games with Eda & Capt. Blaine, which only added to our week of memories.

This vacation was such a wonderful family-filled trip on the boat that we will never forget. The best part and there were a lot of amazing parts but the “best” part was meeting and spending so much time with Eda & Capt. Blaine. Hope to set sail with them again in the future.

Wow!!! We were fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks on Abundance over Christmas and New Years. What an incredible way to spend the Holidays. Prefect weather, beautiful islands and friendly locals (mostly), enjoying the sea, recharging and the most fantastic captain and chef!

Captain Blaine your skills are impeccable and this high strung family greatly appreciated your calm, chill attitude. And Eda – your food was amazing! We loved your incorporating your native Turkish dishes into meals while keeping that Caribbean flair…Conch!

Christmas and New Year 2024/25

My GOSH! Talk about a FIRST CLASS experience….Capt. Blaine had lunch prepared for us by Chef Eda when he picked us up in Tortola. EPIC!
…and so that’s where it all begins. It was probably one of my most memorable journeys we have had. From the food (Chef Eda), fishing, learning how to tie a proper knot (thanks Capt. Blaine), and the FULL MOON party. It was amazing…just to name a few things. The boat is immaculate and well cared for.. Abundance has all the toys from snorkel gear to paddle boards

The service, the experience, and the knowledge of the seas by both Blaine and Eda made for an exceptional trip…oh wait, you need to know more about the food. Gosh, the food. Not only is Capt. Blaine, a serious chef, Eda is a spectacular chef. Every morning, afternoon, and night meals were amazing.

May 2024 BVI

There is something magical casting off from shore and leaving the land behind as you set out on an adventure on the ocean. Our family wanted to experience a sailing vacation for Christmas.

Cap’n Blaine hoisted sail, took us to beautiful bays, showed us the underwater coral gardens blooming with tropical fish. Cap’n Blaine’s first mate and chef extraordinaire, Leila constantly surprised and delighted us at meal time. We asked for seafood and Leila served it in spades. But she kept us guessing with a wide range of recipes, she also whipped up a vegetarian alternative for our friend.

Every day was an adventure. Christmas lunch we ate tacos at a floating restaurant called Lime Out in Coral Bay. Definitely the most fun way to eat tacos. Cap’n Blaine knows these waters. From where to moor and where to snorkel. He knows the history of the islands. He’s a good skipper and a good bloke.

The Virgin Islands are beautiful, the water is clear and warm and there’s lots of sea life. One week is not long enough. Even so, we came back to shore happier and healthier and the better for seeing the world from a different perspective.

Christmas Week 2022

Every time you plan a trip, you want it to be perfect and some end up being better than others, but never perfect. We can sincerely say that our week aboard the Abundance was truly PERFECT and the best trip we have ever been on. EVER!

Captain Blaine knew every nook and cranny of the islands. The boat was impeccable and nothing compares to the moment you kill the engines and realize the serenity of wind taking you to your next stop. Coves that were crystal blue and the views that got better and better around every point you sailed. The diving & snorkeling was unbelievable – both by day and by night.

Our chef created meals that would rival any restaurant – truly incomparable. Back to back to back… Meals that were made from the heart, not selected off a menu. The hardest question Captain Blain asked the entire week was which meal we liked the most.

This trip was to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and it truly was the PERFECT way to mark the milestone. However, I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that we will not wait another 20 years to return to the Abundance.

May 2022 USVI Charter

We thoroughly enjoyed every place we visited. Blaine & Siobhan knew the best spots to visit that allowed us to snorkel, hike and enjoy our time on board. The Captain and I had a lot in common, education, hobbies and interests. We had complete confidence in Blaine and felt very comfortable at all times.

Siobhan is an excellent chef. We ate really well and enjoyed the gourmet healthy meals that Siobhan prepared for us each day. In fact Donna received copies of many of the recipes so that we could replicate the meals at home.

Prior to leaving we were disappointed that we would not be able to sail to the BVI as we had originally intended. Blaine and Siobhan did such a fantastic job of organizing our week visiting the USVI’s sights on St. Croix & St. John that we honestly didn’t miss the BVI. Our time sailing the USVI was really enjoyable and all we could have hoped for. Not that we wouldn’t have liked to visit the BVI but in lieu of that we couldn’t have imagined a better trip than what we experienced.
